About

Hi, I’m Bronwyn, a piano teacher based in Cape Town, South Africa.

After running a small business for the past 8 years, I am thrilled to return to teaching and share my passion for music with my pupils.

A little bit about me:

Both my parents were piano teachers too! My mother still is, and I get a lot of my passion for teaching kids from her! In fact, they met at at the College of Music studying Music. My mother continues to teach and my late father was a very passionate pianist and extremely dedicated to his learning of piano techniques till the very end.

My grandparents, too, were musicians, with my grandmother having a live jazz show on the radio – back in the days when we couldn’t pre-record. How stressful!

It was only fitting that I too also got my teaching Diploma qualification through The Royal Schools of Music, in 2006.

After school I did my tertiary education at Cape Academy of Performing Arts where I studied Dance and Theatre Related studies. My work has spanned across different mediums, including commercials, radio, and live theatre.
My passion for theatre led me to work on productions both locally and internationally, honing my skills in singing, dancing, and acting. Additionally, I have been involved in producing and acting in children’s theatre, allowing me to develop my ability to connect with young audiences.

I am thrilled to return to teaching and so excited to share my passion for music with my pupils. Teaching has always been a source of joy for me. I am dedicated to creating a fun and engaging learning environment that fosters a love of music and enables students to develop a strong foundation in piano playing. With my experience and enthusiasm, I am confident that I can make a positive impact on the musical journeys of my students.
